How To Be Happy.

I do not think there is a set code of being happy or really a definition, it is what you make of it individually. Recently I have been feeling a little bit down due to various situations, which has been tough but despair not there has been a fair few things making me chuckle or smile I thought I would share. These are just a few things that, as I said have been making me smile, they have no other meaning than to possibly brighten up your day a little bit. Hellium Video Booth Lite

.
This app has had me in tears of laughter nearly everyday this week. You film a 30 clip of yourself or anything you want, and then when you play it back your voice is altered to sound like you're breathing in helium. It is simple but my my it can be funn.
Running

Source: Pinterest
Over the past few weeks I have started to train for a half marathon, which maybe a scary thought ( if you don't think so I do).Even if its not running and its going for a walk I feel so much better when I come back. The mind is clear if you just keep moving your legs.

Summer nails

This is a small add on but I think have a colour you love on your nails can make so much difference, to your outfit but most importantly to your mood. I have been wearing Essie's Mint Candy Apple and Models Own's Beach Party to spice up my hands. I thin next on the list is China Glaze's Flip Flop Fantasy.

April Favourites

April has been such as weird weird month. I have been at home for 99% of April and the weather has been so crazy, snowing one minute and almost ALMOST bikini weather the next. I have been going from grabbing the sunglasses, pimms, and neons one minute and then changing into scarves and donning the berry lips the next. Ah well hopefull a few of my favourite make up products that sum up April for me give a nod to sunnier days. ( p.s I hang my head at whatever the picture is, my camera is at home and my iphone is not playing ball, hopefully the quality will improve asap and i can get swatches and the whole shabang up).

So first up is The Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette I love love this palette. The shades are all beautiful, pigmented, and creamy. This month though I have been swiping my brush across the colours Tease and YDK. Teaseis a beauty. Its a taupe- slate colour and is perfect for the crease or any definition as it is matte. YDKis a shimmery brown with almost rose gold undertones too and is my unltimate favourite out the bunch.
Next in the running I have been loving Nars Sheer Glow This is a medium to full coverage semi-matte drying foundation. I apply it with a real techniques buffing brush and apply everywhere. I hold my hands up as I didnt initally like this foundation, I thought it was slightly heavy and cakey, however if you're oily like me then once your natural oils show through a little bit I think it leaves a beautiful finish.
Another offering for the face is the Too Faced Primer Primed and Poreless in Bronze Tint. I don't wear this under sheer glow but it looks so nice under sheer coverage foundations or even bb creams. The primer does look scary as you sqeeze the dark brown consistancy out, but once blended with a foundation over the top it gives an inner glow ( ooo). I didn't find it kept my make up on all day but made my foundation just glide on. Top Marks from me.
For the lips I have been using a famous Revlon lip Butter in the colour Wild Water Melon. I have nothing too much to say on this minus its a beautiful pink perfect for summer days.
On the cheeks I have been using Stila's convertable Blush in Magnolia. This is a creamy orange which is a cracker in the plan but looks subtle and coral like on the cheek. I don't like using this on my lips as I find it's slightly drying but on the cheeks..yep thats the one.
Right two more to go..
This month I have been going back for bigger brows and trying to keep them that way all day so I have been usuing the ME ME ME's Arch Angle tinted brow gel. Its just the perfect colour for my brows and stays put all day. Its also from the ME ME ME line so comes at under £10, BARGIN.
Last but not least I have been using the No 7 lip liner in Melon. On its own or under something like Revlons Smoked peach its a beautiful matte nude lip with corally-orange undertones. It gives a real 60s feel I think. Its also a twist up products so no sharpening need happen, which is great for people like me as it all goes down hill from there.
So there we go, those are the products which for the majority of the month have been adorning my face. Do you have any of the same favourites

Diving in at the deep end.

Excuse the technological hitches that may be heading your way but more importantly I send out an apology for the cringey wording of a blogger who is taking her first baby steps into the vast and slightly scary *deep breaths* world of beauty, life, and general blogging.  ( yep still breathing.)

I'm Jen, I am a student who enjoys nothing more than perusing isles of lit up stands looking for the next beauty buy that I can undoubtedly slather all over myself.  I wanted to create a blog to communicate with those who have a similar addiction ( we can enable together), but who are also on a student budget like mine. I am on a mission looking for something that every student wants..a cheap deal.

Welcome me in with open arms PLEASE :)
